HDR > Michael-Myerscough  > Other > Gallery- Absolute Best HDR
I love HDR, inspired by Trey Ratcliff. Suddenly photography wasn't such a disappointment and I could bring back the memories and put them back together in the fashion I store them in my heart. It also allows me to take liberty's with lighting and the like. Some of these have been tweaked to look a little more like they'd look if the light was perfect, rather than just OK, on a particular day. As I get a little more comfortable with my current style I notice that I'm creating pictures that look a little more like paintings, this is not accidental.

HDR: Bridge 39. This is on Station Lane, Broughton. I spent a lot of time on this canal as a kid, as it's down the road from my grandparents. The bridge you see is the one my dad very nearly killed himself on in his youth. Went over it way too fast on a motorcycle into oncoming traffic; VERY messy. I took this in June '11 in the same week my dad had a life saving operation, lots of deeper meaning about bridges here.
HDR- All that in hiking boots. Amazing!
It took me a while to convince her that it was worth stripping off a bit for this shot. For those of you that wonder my wife does have a ballet background, and for the snobbish that care, that would be 'The Royal'. She's way cool!!
HDR- Unbroken. I spent a lot of time on a farm as a kid with my grandparents, I love tractors. To the untrained eye this one looks dead but if you put a charged battery in I bet you it would start. The owner chased us off, she was really grumpy!
This is probably my favorite image from our time with the tulips. It was one of those freak shots where we drove past a field we'd been in earlier in the day just as the sun was setting. My battery and energy died right after this shot, it had been a very long day. I can't imagine a more fantastic piece of foreground interest ever occurring but that won't stop me looking.
HDR. Click on this photo and it does what it's meant to. We got this by missing our train home and had an hour to kill. Best train I ever missed!
HDR. I had intended to get a sunset shot but a photographer I ran into here suggested that I stick around for the reflections. It's amazing how easy it is to meet cool, talented photographers. They're generally the ones sitting still waiting for the light to happen.
HDR. Another from the dawn shoot, that's a path you really have to walk down. The Keukenhof which is where these formal garden shots come from is about as good as it gets. They are only open for 2 months of every year, the rest is spent planning and conditioning the soil. It's an incredible two months and as you can imagine it gets insanely busy. Unless you get up insanely early.
